Happy New Year!

Hope everyone has a safe and happy new years! We are going to hang out at home this year and have our friends over for dinner. Yummy India Palace! and play some games. Noah is excited to have his friend Mia Bella over and share all his new toys. Not as exciting as previous years but still just as fun. I only wish I wasnt pregnant during the holiday season. No special drinks for me. I will be sipping the sparkling grape juice with the kids.
Tomorrow, on New Years day, we are going to my parents for dinner, which should be relaxing. Hey....I don't have to cook 2 nights in a row. BONUS! I will try to post more pics soon of Noah on New Years. He has been difficult to get pictures of lately. He is just way too active. On Monday Noah had his 15 month doctor appointment. He received a clean bill of health and weighs a hefty 25lbs. The doctor said that we should have a lot of kids since Noah is soo cute and well behaved. We will see about that. I also had a doctors appointment this week and the baby seems to being doing well despite the fact I am still spotting. The heartbeat was 150, which was the same as Noah's. I think I am having another boy. We have an ultrasound scheduled in 3 weeks.
Alright. My free time is over. Noah is waking up from nap. Happy New Year!

I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas!

And it came true. Winter is here and so is the snow. Its beautiful but not much fun to shovel. Noah loves to look and point at it out the window and Toby loves jumping in it. Now if it could only get a little warmer so Noah and I can go out and play in the fresh snow. Here are some cute pictures of Noah from the past few weeks. He loves his new chair Peter and I picked up for him for christmas. We couldnt wait to give it to him so he recieved an early christmas gift.

Cold, Cold, Cold..

Burrrr! Its cold here in MN and its definitely cold season. All three of us are recovering from colds. Noah is doing much better but still has a runny nose and cough. Myself, I feel much better and Peter is pretty much done with his cold. Basically for the last week we have been hibernating, drinking hot chocolate, and cuddling on the couch with blankets. This past weekend my mom and I made all of our Christmas cookies which was a lot of fun. I also had to make cookies for Peters work cookie exchange. I made 144 cookies. Lets just say he owes me a lot of back rubs! As for my pregnancy, things are still looking good. I saw the doctor again last friday and the heartbeat was still strong. The little peanut is a fighter! I see the doctor now every 2 weeks to monitor the heartbeat and check up on everything.

Well, Noah is up from his nap. No more relaxing for me. I will post new pics soon.

Update on Baby #2

Sorry this is so late but I thought I would still update everyone on little peanut. I had an ultrasound last wednesday and I still have some blood in my uterus. The doctor said I would most likely bleed again, which as of today I have started bleeding. The hope is that as I bleed I wouldn't lose any of the placenta. Peter and I are continuing to pray and keep a positive outlook that we will get through this with a healthy baby in June. Noah has been a great distraction and little love bug. He gives me kisses and hugs all day long which warms my heart and spirit. He is becoming a little mama's boy. Please continue to pray for the pregnancy and baby.

A little Late....

But Happy Thanksgiving! There is so much to be thankful for this year. Noah is such a blessing to both Peter and I and also our new addition who should be arriving in early June (June 9th). I feel like the luckiest mom. This thanksgiving was a little out of the ordinary for our family. Peter and I spent the evening in the ER because I was bleeding and at risk for a miscarriage. Luckily, little peanut #2 didn't want to give up yet. The heart beat was strong and the baby was very active on the ultrasound. I was diagnosed with Subchorionic Hemorrhaging. It does put the baby at risk but with some rest and taking it easy for awhile the bleeding should stop and most likely I will be able to carry this baby to term. Prayers are needed. And we are trying to keep a positive outlook on things.

Well, that's about it for our thanksgiving. Hope everyone is enjoying this holiday season.

My thoughts

I am sorry to say I have no new pics to post today. Instead you will have to read my thoughts on the week. Like always, we have had a pretty busy week. This past weekend my cousins came into town with their two adorable girls. We havent seen eachother since our wedding over 2 years ago. My mom hosted a fiesta for the family. It was nice to catch up and watch our kids play together. I have noticed that Noah has developed a little temper. He has started to hit other children if they have a toy he wants or if they are in his way. Not good. On tuesday Noah and I went to MOPS (Moms of Preschoolers) at church. The topic was raising compassionate kids and I learned a lot. I always look forward to tuesday mornings. Its such a nice break and Noah loves his little class. They sing songs, have snack time, and play with all the new toys. I have also met a lot of great moms. Its so nice to have that support system. And today through tomorrow I have Mia. Its been nice for Noah to have a little friend to play with. However, after the holidays I am done watching Mia. She will be attending a preschool instead. I am sad but also ready to do something different.

Thats about it so far for the week. The weekend looks pretty uneventful besides some christmas shopping, cleaning, and bible study on sunday night. Which reminds me, I need to bring desert. Have a great week/weekend. I will post more pics as soon as I can.

What a weekend!

The weekend has finally come to an end. What an aweful weekend we have had. Peter had a root canal done on thursday and soon after, it became infected. He was admitted to the hospital on late friday night/saturday morning and stayed until today. He recieved antibiotics and steriods to help with the swelling in his face and throat. Peter is doing so much better today. The swelling is almost gone and he is getting back to normal. He even went to Menards today to get things for the basement. So obviously he is doing much better.

Noah on the other hand has come down with a nasty cold and cough. He is also teething this week and refusing to nap in the afternoons. However, he has started walking. Its so much fun to watch and coach him. He takes about 3-5 steps at a time. Its amazing how much can happen in a week. For me, well....I am doing as well as I can. I am extremely tired. Taking care of Peter and Noah while being sleep deprived isnt my idea of fun. But I guess that is what a wife and mother has to do.

Its 8pm now and I am off to bed. Please dont make fun :) Goodnight

Words- mama (sometimes mom), dada, hi, blub blub (sound of a fish), booo (instead of moo for the cow), pup (for puppy), and ball

Another Busy Week!

Sorry that I haven't posted in a week. Its been another busy week and weekend for Peter and I. Last week we went to the apple orchard with Noah. It was a blast. Noah loved it and had a great time. We picked apples, pumpkins, and played on a mountain of straw. They also had a little petting zoo that Noah really enjoyed. This past weekend I went to the Rascal Flatts concert with my mom, aunts and some cousins to celebrate Josie's birthday. Peter took care of Noah. They had a date night at the childrens museum. Saturday my mom and I hosted a baby shower for one of my cousins and Sunday Peter, Noah and I all relaxed. Now its back to work for Peter and cleaning/laundry for me.

I will post pictures soon once I upload them to the computer. Have a great week!

Long time...no blog!

Sorry its been awhile since I updated you on our life. Noah and I have had a bad cold since last weekend. We both are starting to feel better...just a little running nose. Peter is busy at work and working on the basement. We have it painted, just a few finishing touches, carpet and putting in the ceiling and then its done!! So hopefully by the end of Oct. early Nov. everything will be finished.

This weekend Noah is having an overnight at my parents and Peter and I are going out! We have a wedding to go to on Saturday and then Sunday we plan on working on the basement together for a bit. Peter also has monday off so we are going to the apple orchard. I will post some more pics after the weekend.

Happy 1st Birthday Noah!!

Noah is 1!!!! What a big boy he is now. I cant believe a year ago today I was in the surgery delivering Noah via c-section. He weighed 9lbs 10 oz. and now he is close to 24 lbs. Time flies. This has been the quickest year of our lives.

This past Sunday we celebrated Noah's birthday with friends and family. It was a perfect fall day! Noah had fun eating his yummy cake and opening presents. Today, Peter took the day off and we went to the childrens museum. Noah loved climbing and looking at himself in all the mirrors. He is our little explorer!

Here are some pics from today and this past weekend at his party! Enjoy

What a Wonderful Week

It has been a wonderful and fun filled week with Noah. He is changing so much and growing way to quickly. He now can use baby sign language for more, eat, all done, and fan. For words he says mama, dada, quack quack for duck, and hi (which sounds like hiiyee and waves with it). He is not yet walking but close. He can stand without holding on to anything and he moves all around the furniture. Noah's new thing is to hit his head against the wall or door and look for you to respond ( I made the mistake of saying "bonk" and now he thinks its funny). He loves to cuddle and loves stuffed animals.

Peter and I are so in love with our little man. We wouldnt change it for the world. It has been an exciting past year. I am sad that he is turning 1 soon. He will never be this fun age again.

Hope everyone had a nice week!

New Pics

We recently went to Grand Marais and had a wonderful time over labor day weekend. We hiked, shopped, and enjoyed spending time as a family. Noah did wonderful. He loved the water and eating rocks on the beach. Here are a few pics of our trip.
