1 week to go!

Well it is finally the last week of my pregnancy. Today is our last Tuesday as a family of three. I am so excited and ready to meet this little girl. For the most part, I have everything ready. My bags are packed, plans are made for Noah, and my body is saying its had enough. My nausea has returned along with vomiting...how fun :( I can for sure say that she does not like any type of Mexican food. I have been dilated to 3 for the past 2 1/2 weeks now and I don't know how much longer I can take it. Luckily there is an end in sight.

My homework assignment from my OB doctor was to plan something fun for each day. So Noah and I have been out for coffee a few times and shopping for cute baby things. Last weekend I met with a friend for coffee, had a bon fire with our small group, and finished planting my garden. And this week I plan to spend some quality time with Peter and take Noah to the park, have a play date with a good friend of mine and her son, and maybe get a prenatal massage if I can talk Peter into it.

Noah has been doing great with all the changes. He loves carrying around the baby doll and pretend to rock her. Noah also thinks its funny when my belly hangs out the bottom of my shirts. He says "ooh ooh" and pulls my shirt down...how cute :)

He has also adjusted to life without Toby, our dog. We decided to find Toby a new home recently because it was getting too hard. He needed more attention and walks then we could give him. Toby now lives 4 blocks away with an awesome family who love beagles. They also have an older beagle which is nice for Toby.

Well, that's all the updates I have for now. Sorry no pictures. I have been slacking when it comes to taking pics.

Still here :)

Sorry. It has been awhile since I last posted anything. The past few weeks have flown by. Noah and I have been trying to keep busy and spend some quality time together before the new arrival. We have been to the park almost daily, played outside with bubbles and his new bubble lawn mower, and cuddled a lot during nap times.

However, I am starting to slow down this week and feel that my body is gearing up for a delivery soon. I saw the doctor last week and I am already dilated to 1 and 60% effaced. This means nothing to me since I walked around being 2/3 cm for a good 2 weeks with Noah. However, I do feel a lot more pressure and discomfort with the pregnancy. I don't know how much longer I can take. I have 2 1/2 weeks until my scheduled c-section. The nursery is complete for now. Noah has regressed back into his crib and doesn't want to give it to the new baby quit yet. So she doesn't have a crib yet, but the cradle should hold her for a good 4 months. The next step is to wash a few of her outfits and get her bag ready for the hospital.

Well that's about it. Tonight Peter and I are having our last date night before baby #2 arrives. We are going to the "Phantom of the Opera" downtown and then out for dessert. Noah is staying the night at my parents. Its such a nice treat. And I am excited to sleep in tomorrow morning.

Hope all is well. God Bless :)

My Big Boy

What a perfect day!! Besides feeling nauseous, today has been a pretty perfect day so far. Noah slept in his big boy bed last night for the first time and made it until morning. He woke up happy and proud of his new bed. We then decided to skip church since I wasn't feeling well. (We went out for dinner last night and I either got food poisoning or the baby didn't like Mexican food. Anyways, I was up most of the night feeling pretty crummy).

After breakfast we hung out as a family, watched a little video, and then went to the park. We flew Noah's new Elmo kite and played on the slides. Noah had a blast. He loved chasing after Peter and the kite in the big open field. I enjoyed watching them and soaking up all the sunshine. We then came home and Noah was so tired, he skipped lunch and crawled into his new bed and went right to sleep. I am so proud of him. I am still amazed he made the transition so well. We bought him his new bed just to practice. I was just hoping that by the fall, when he turned 2, that he would be ready to give up his crib. I guess he was ready now.

As for baby horn #2....she is doing great. We have about 4 more weeks and then she will be here. We cant wait!!! The nursery is pretty much ready for her arrival. Now we just wait......and pray that the time goes by fast :)

Here is a pic of Noah last week playing in the water table and sticking his tongue out at me.

Preview of our little girls room

Here is a preview of the nursery. We have moved the furniture around since this pic and added a rocking chair. We also hung the art work and mirror. However, it gives you an idea of the room and you can see the chandelier and rug.

Pic Update

Noah loves being goofy at the dinner table. Here he is eating his bread stick off his fork. He thought he was hilarious. Every time he would take a bite he would say "Ta-Daa".
Another past time of Noah's is to wear mama's or dada's shoes. He walks around the whole house like this. They almost look like hockey skates. He looks like a little hockey player with his long hair.

Here is Noah trying to smile for the camera. He says "cheeeese."

"Yeah, I know I am cute!" "Take all the pictures you need Mama."

"What? Did I do something" "I don't know where all my food went. Check the floor"
