Never Grow Up

Noah's 1st Christmas (2007). He was 3 months old. Such a little peanut. Its hard to think of him ever being this little.

Christmas 2008. Noah was a little over a year old and I was 3 months pregnant with Little Miss Emme. He didn't know what was going to happen to him in the next year. What a surprise!...He got a sister :)

Noah- Christmas 2009 (2 years old)

Christmas 2010 (3 years old) Wow has he grown. He is such a big boy now.

Emme's 1st Christmas (almost 7 months old). Look at those chubby cheeks.

It has been a great Christmas season this year. The kids really enjoyed it and its been fun seeing life through their little eyes.

Whats new with us?

We finally sold our house! We are now moving in with my parents until we find our forever house.

Emme got her first little hair cut. Very stylish
Noah turned into a super hero

Noah and Emme like to play "time to take a nap" behind Emme's rocking chair.

We got over 16 inches of snow. Perfect for making a snow fort with Noah.

We bought a xmas tree and attempted to get a family picture. Didnt turn out the best.

Another cute pic of Emme's haircut.

Emme's first snow fall that she can remember. She wasn't too sure about it.

We urge you, brethren, admonish the unruly, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with everyone. See that no one repays another with evil for evil, but always seek after that which is good for one another and for all people. Rejoice always; pray without ceasing;in everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:14-18

I have so many reasons to be thankful this year and it brings tears to my eyes just thinking about how blessed I am.

I am thankful for....
1. another year with my two beautiful children.
2. our health.
3. my wonderful husband who lets me sleep in most mornings.
4. wonderful friends who have encouraged me in so many ways.
5. my ever growing faith. I have really learned to lean on God for everything and I am learning more each day.
6. my MOPS group. Definitely an answer to prayer.
7. family. I don't know what I would do without the support of my family.
8. my sweatpants :)
9. coffee!!! and drive-thru caribou
10. laughter....our house is filled with love and laughter. You couldn't ask for anything better!

Hope everyone has a wonderful thanksgiving.

So whats new??? much! We recently put our house on the market this past September hoping to sell quickly. However, today's market is brutal and after 41 days we are still trying to sell. Peter and I decided it would be a great time to upgrade to our forever house since interest rates are so low. You can really find great deals out there. We continue to pray and wait.

This past September Noah turned 3. We had a low key Diego birthday party for him with some of his close friends and family. He was really excited and received some fun new toys. Also, Noah is officially potty trained! He has done a great job and we are very proud of him. He enjoys wearing big boy underwear and telling everyone about it. We have only had a few accidents. Emme is getting big too. She started walking shortly after a year and has really taken off running. She loves to follow her brother around and get into everything. It has been really fun watching them together. They love to play in Emme's closet and make forts. All I hear is two giggling children behind the closet door. Its too cute. They also like to hold hands and hug. I hope they stay this way forever. Don't get me wrong...they do fight... a lot too. I am just trying to focus on the positives of my day :)

Peter and I are also doing well. Peter, especially, has continue to run a lot this fall. He completed another half marathon in august and recently ran the twin cities 10 miler in October. I have also been running, just not as much. I ran the women run the cities 5k in September. Our next race is the Monster Dash on Halloween. The kids will be in the jogging stroller and they get to dress up in their costumes. There will be candy stops along the way. I am looking forward to it.

Well, kids are not napping :( Got to go.

Apple Orchard

Last weekend Pete, the kids, and I went down to Belle plaine to Emma Krumbees Apple Orchard. We had a blast and it was a perfect warm fall day. The kids really enjoyed the hay mountain, wooden play grounds, pony rides, and of course apples.

Noah loves his little sister. Here he is sharing his ice cream with her. This just melts my heart.
First pony ride. He was pretty excited!

This picture says it all :)

its been awhile since I have posted. A lot has happened and I promise I will post pictures today. Stop back later....I am planning on updating the blog during naptime with some great pictures. Here is two to get you by.....

Emme woke up last night around 9 pm, after sleeping for 2 hours, ready to play. She was all smiles, giggles, and extremely wild. Here are a few pics of Pete trying to get her to lay down and go back to bed. Obviously it didn't work and she was up to almost 11 pm. Crazy little girl.

Up North Family Vacation

This past weekend Pete, the kids and I made the trip up north to Grand Marias. We left early Friday morning and arrived home tonight (Sunday). It was a beautiful weekend and we had a great time. We stayed at Cascade Lodge and had hiking trails right out our back door. The lodge was in Cascade National Park. There was a 0.6 mile loop that we hiked to see the waterfalls. Noah had a blast. He loved hiking and leading the way. He is definitely his Father's son. I think his favorite part was climbing the rocks in the river and dipping his toes in the water. Emme was very sleep deprived, but she seemed to enjoy the hike too while being carried in the backpack. We also enjoyed throwing rocks in the lake, eating frozen custard in town, and having lattes at Java moose while going on an early morning walk. Oh..and I cant forget, eating pizza at Sven and Ole's (the best pizza ever)! It was a great weekend to be away, however, I am glad to be home in my own bed without Noah between Pete and I. The pictures below are somewhat out of order...enjoy!

On the way home...very tired little ones :)
awww...they love each other soo much.

Baa Baa
June 2009-July 2010
Security blankie for Little Miss Emme Horn
Was well loved and cared for
Baa will be greatly missed
Today we have lost our beloved Baa. Baa went every where Emme store, on walks, car rides, etc. While out of town this past weekend, Baa was somehow left behind. Unfortunately, the store where Baa came from was closed tonight so Emme had to go to bed with an impostor. Hopefully she wont notice when I give her a brand new, shiny, clean smelling Baa tomorrow :)
Goodnight my could be a long night :(
